This new production, according to the artist, “interprets intimate fragments of my surroundings (family-friends) from the years 2014 to 2016, as well as expressions of memories from youth that resurface today in a sad and aggressive manner.”

Some of the photos featured in “Ni lágrimas Ni culpas” showcase Zaida’s best artistic work, employing her technique of hand-coloring black-and-white analog photographs. For the first time, family archives and personal landscapes are also included, documented using a cellphone camera. These were taken in Santiago de Chile, Paris, France, Mexico City, and Oaxaca, Mexico.

Readers will also find a written piece by the iconic and late Chilean performer “Hija de Perra,” a poem by Julio Núñez, and illustrations by Gatuti González and Andres B Zeta. Additionally, the artist’s brother, Jorge González, contributed a poem and an illustration. Zaida explains that there are six different covers, created using the lenticular 3D technique in Mexico City, adorned with gold foil. Only 500 copies exist, each accompanied by a postcard of a photograph not included in the book, which is numbered and signed.

This is undoubtedly a cult object and collector’s item, just like every book by this photographer.
