July 3, 1998. Nothing Ever Truly Dies
by Filip Mramor
2023-2025 | Prague, Czech Republic
A trip to a seemingly unimportant moment trapped in a VHS from the basement.
A wish to be there.
To meet halfway.
The performance, based on found footage, is a dialogue with a specific moment in time. It follows the inability of preservation of a memory, unveiled in the glitches and distortions of a videotape recording. It is set as a conference, driven by a wish to contain a foreign memory, to extend its life, to embody it, to claim it, trace it back to its origin. It is an attempt to suspend time.
