Gabriela Mistral canta cuentos

by Tryo Teatro Banda

2021 | Santiago, Chile

This play features the musical adaptation of three poems by chilean Nobel Prize Gabriela Mistral, performed by Tryo Teatro Banda and the Foundation of Youth and Children’s Orchestras.

Nearly a century ago, poet and Nobel Prize in Literature winner Gabriela Mistral, deeply interested in children’s education, rewrote a series of classic fairy tales in verse. Among them were Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White in the House of the Dwarfs, and Cinderella. She preserved the enchanting essence of these stories while adding the magic of her poetic voice.
